It’s the most unpredictable division in the NFL. There has never been a clear favorite coming into a season in the NFC East and that’s what makes it entertaining football. This is a division where you truly have to expect the unexpected.
Each year, there are always those questions and storylines that are asked. Here are five that I have as we approach college football.
It was a change at the top of the AFC West last season with the Kansas City Chiefs winning the division and clinching a first-round bye. The Raiders were back in the spotlight and made the playoffs for the first time since 2002, Denver took a significant step back and the Chargers played their last season in San Diego.
Out of every division in the NFL, this has by far been the weakest of them all. The Texans have won the division the last two seasons, the Titans are on the come up, the Colts are just mediocre and the Jaguars, well, they are still the Jaguars.
The Auburn Tigers were the last team not named the Crimson Tide to win this division and that was in 2013. Every year since 2014, Saban and company has come out on top.
This was a division that was supposed to be controlled by the Buckeyes, Wolverines and Spartans. Two of them were at the top while one struggled and then a team came out of nowhere and shocked us all. This is a division I’ll have my eyes on throughout the year.
