2019 Recap: Sure, they lost two games which made things look dark for a while. The one thing I know about Paul Chryst coached teams is they will always find a way to keep it moving. They were able to reclaim the West for the second time in three seasons with a big win over the Minnesota Golden Gophers in the season finale last November. Jonathan Taylor was the talk of the game with another stellar season. They made it to their second conference title game in three years only to fall short to the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Notable Losses: RB Jonathan Taylor, WR Quintez Cephus, C Tyler Biadasz, EDGE Zack Baun & LB Chris Orr.
2020 Outlook: The road to the Big Ten West division title will once again travel through Madison. They may have lost a few players at key positions, but Coach Chryst will reload and have them in the mix for double digit victories once again. This will be the second year of Jack Coan starting as the team’s quarterback. To replace Jonathan Taylor, Nakia Watson and Garrett Groshek will handle the running back responsibilities. Wisconsin’s defense will be strong once again. They have a very intriguing schedule this season. Two non-conference showdowns with Appalachian State and Notre Dame. In conference, they will play road games at the big house in Ann Arbor and at Iowa. The Badgers will host Minnesota for Paul Bunyan’s Axe in Madison.
