1. New England Patriots– Another week of dominance from them. They made the Cleveland Browns look silly which isn’t difficult to do these days. This defense just amazes me week in and out. For the third time in franchise history, the Patriots are 8-0. Tonight, will be a true test for them. The Patriots have the stingiest defense in the league by far and the Ravens have one of the more versatile offenses. The Ravens are also a physical team, something New England hasn’t seen much of this year. Sunday night football will be fun tonight.
2. San Francisco 49ers– They’re 8-0 for the first time since 1990. I’m glad they were tested on Thursday against the Arizona Cardinals. Those divisional showdowns are never easy as you saw, and Arizona gave them all they can handle. Jimmy G stepped up to make clutch passes when the team needed it. The offense really stood out to me in this game. The defense has carried the team for most of the year. This is still the only unbeaten team standing in the NFC.
3. New Orleans Saints– They didn’t miss a beat without Drew Brees in the time he was out. He comes back last Sunday, and the Saints don’t miss a beat. In a competitive NFC, they really stand out to me. They can beat you in so many ways. I said this last week as well about Sean Payton. This is his finest coaching job during his tenure in New Orleans. The last time they lost was in September to the Rams. How a lot has changed since then.
4. Green Bay Packers– That was a big win for them last Sunday night in Kansas City. They found a way to grind the game out and everything else panned itself out. This is the best I’ve seen the Packers look in quite some time. The offense is finally set in. Aaron Rodgers has looked comfortable. Another Aaron has also stepped it up on the offensive side and that’s Aaron Jones. They’re in control of the NFC North.
5. Minnesota Vikings– They haven’t lost a game since week three when they fell to the Chicago Bears. Since then, they’ve looked like a completely different team. Kirk Cousins is playing well but most importantly, he’s taking care of the football. Dalvin Cook has been healthy, Stefon Diggs has been making plays in Adam Thielen’s absence and their defense is also one of the best in the league. Today will be a true test against the Kansas City Chiefs.
