The Latest Set (11/28 CFP Rankings)

1. Auburn Tigers– All year, this was considered to be a team to challenge the Alabama Crimson Tide in the SEC West. Now, look at them, they are the champions of their division for the first time since 2013 after defeating number one ranked Alabama on Saturday. They also defeated the Georgia Bulldogs a few weeks back when they were number one. Right now, they are on my one line in this set of rankings. This team is clicking right now behind a ferocious defense that really stifled Jalen Hurts and neutralized the Tide’s rushing attack. Here they are in a great position to keep this momentum train going. The SEC Title game will be a fun one on Saturday afternoon. I can’t wait to preview this game. That atmosphere is going to be extremely electric.

2. Clemson Tigers– They are finding their swagger at the right time. As many of you know, I haven’t really been sold on them too much and I wasn’t around this time last year either and look what happened, they go on to win the whole thing. Ever since that loss against Syracuse, they have really improved as a football team. Kelly Bryant is finally healthy and he’s been playing more consistent football as of late which helps because this team will go as far as he takes them. The defense has been so strong all year and will continue to carry them. This is the biggest game of the year for them when they face Miami for the ACC Championship game on Saturday night and they’ll look to capture their third conference title in a row with the victory.

3. Oklahoma Sooners– They are the best offensive team in the nation. They feel they can score 30 or more in every game against any opponent and nine times out of ten, they do. This team has the front-runner for the Heisman in Baker Mayfield, a nice running back in Rodney Anderson and they’ve been so well coached under Lincoln Riley. The scenario for them is extremely simple. You win your conference title game against TCU on Saturday and you’re in. You’ve won your conference as a whole already, winning the Big-12 championship pretty much gets you an automatic lock and you’ve only lost one game. I expect to hear this team’s name get called not just tomorrow night, but on Sunday as well.

4. Georgia Bulldogs– Welcome back to the four you guys. It really has been a while. With all the mayhem that happened on Saturday in the season finale, you’re back in the four, for now. This has been one of my favorite teams to watch all season long and right now, they are getting exactly what they wanted, a rematch with the team that handed them their only loss of the season, the Auburn Tigers. This is what they’ve waited for and they got it. This will also be a home game of some sorts for the Bulldogs with it being in Atlanta. Saturday cannot get here soon enough.
