2023 Review: They’ve become one of my favorite teams to watch in all of college football. In their final season in the Pac-12, they let people know they’d be a tough matchup no matter where the game was. Bo Nix was a Heisman Candidate for a reason and was the catalyst behind one of the best offenses in the country. The Oregon Ducks lone two losses came to the Washington Huskies. One in the regular season and the other in the final Pac-12 conference title game. They finished their season with a victory in the Fiesta Bowl over Liberty.
Key Departures: QB Bo Nix, C Jackson Powers-Johnson, WR Troy Franklin, RB Bucky Irving, LB Jamal Hill.
2024 Prediction: It’s tough to pick against this group. Dan Lanning and his Oregon Ducks will make themselves known in their first year in the Big Ten with a memorable season. I like the Ducks to get to Indy for the Big Ten title game where they will face the Ohio State Buckeyes. Out is Bo Nix and in comes former Oklahoma Quarterback, Dillion Gabriel. They will have some tough games on their slate. A battle with Michigan at the big house is one, Ohio State will travel to Eugene for a showdown, a trip to Camp Randall to face the Wisconsin Badgers and they will close out the season against a familiar opponent in the Washington Huskies.
