2023 Review: This wasn’t your typical Buckeyes team in 2023. They had to usher in a new Quarterback, Kyle McCord after C.J. Stroud left for the NFL. With C.J., they had one of the best offenses in the country that could strike at any minute. Last year, they were more of the team that controlled the clock, won the line of scrimmage and the defense was also much improved after a down year in 2022. Also, they still had Marvin Harrison Jr. Through the first 11 games, they were undefeated until they were handed their third consecutive loss by the Michigan Wolverines and ended their year with a loss in the Cotton Bowl to the Missouri Tigers

Key Departures: QB Kyle McCord, WR Marvin Harrison Jr, DT Mike Hall Jr, TE Cade Stover, LB Tommy Eichenberg.

2024 Prediction: This squad has playoffs or bust written all over it. The Ohio State Buckeyes will bounce back in a big way this year. This will also be the most talented team that Ryan Day has assembled since taking over the job for Urban Meyer. They took full advantage of the transfer portal and landed Caleb Downs, an elite Safety from Alabama, Quinshon Judkins from Ole Miss and Will Howard, the Quarterback from Kansas State. Don’t forget, the Buckeyes still have Emeka Egbuka in the Wide Receiver room. This will be the deepest roster they’ve had in quite some time. They will get back to Indianapolis for the conference title game for the first time since 2020.
