Week Seven Power Rankings (NFL)

1. Arizona Cardinals: This is a good football team. If you look at half of their wins, they’ve defeated three playoff teams from a year ago. Tennessee in week one, the Rams in week four and the Browns last weekend. They continue to make believers out of people and are still the lone undefeated team remaining in the NFL at 6-0. They have the Houston Texans today before a Thursday night battle to kick off week eight with the Green Bay Packers.

2. Baltimore Ravens: They made a strong statement last weekend against the Los Angeles Chargers. That was the Ravens most complete win of the year. When the offense is balanced and the defense is all on the same page, nobody can beat them. Lamar Jackson continues to impress me. Not bad for a running back, right? They made their case for the best team in the AFC. Today, they’ll face Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals.

3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Until they are dethroned, they are still the team to beat. They’ve won their last three games since dropping that one battle to the Rams back in week three. I love where this offense is at now. They are the toughest offense for a defense to prepare for because of the issues they can create on the field. I’m still worried about their defense. Today, they’re back home for a battle with the Chicago Bears. Justin Fields and Tom Brady will do battle for the first time.

4. Green Bay Packers: Aaron Rodgers still owns the Bears. He’s right. In 27 games against the Bears, he’s won 22 of them. I’ve liked what the Packers have done in this winning streak. I’m noticing more balance offensively, Rodgers is spreading the ball around left and right and the defense is also holding up (for now). They’ve bounced back nicely since that week one embarrassment to the New Orleans Saints. They’re back home today for the first time since week four to face the Washington Football Team.

5. Dallas Cowboys: It’s them in the NFC East with everyone else looking up to them. That health factor makes all the difference. How could you not be happy for Dak Prescott? With the injury he suffered last season and to see him back on the field is amazing. They needed over 30 points last weekend to get past Belichick and New England. They’ve been on a roll since that opening night loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
