1. Pittsburgh Steelers: They made a statement last week against Cleveland. When you look at the dominant performance, that should open everyone’s eyes. Their game plan was simple. Stop the run, take away the quarterback bootleg and force Baker Mayfield to beat them. They did everything I listed. This is the best I’ve seen them look in quite some time. The next two games will be tests for them. Tennessee today and Baltimore next week.
2. Tennessee Titans: The good teams find ways to win in many ways. They can blow you out or come back to win. They blew the Buffalo Bills out and they found a way to come back against the Houston Texans last week. Derrick Henry continues to show why he is a grown man on the football field. At 5-0, this is their best start since 2008. Today, they’ll partake in a battle of undefeated teams with the Steelers in town. What a game this will be.
3. Kansas City Chiefs: Last week was a nice way for them to bounce back. They relied on the running game and the defense believe it or not. They’re exactly where I expected them to be at this point of the season. Remember, they added Le’Veon Bell to the fold which can make their offense scarier if it pans out. Today, they’ll face the Denver Broncos in a divisional showdown.
4. Seattle Seahawks: They’re 5-0 for the first time in franchise history. The last time we saw them, they were coming back on the Minnesota Vikings. They’ve been good, but I feel they can be better. Especially on the defensive side of the football. Here’s to hoping Jamal Adams is back soon because he makes them better and covers up holes. Now, they’ll be on Sunday night in Arizona. Russell Wilson and Kyler Murray in Arizona.
5. Baltimore Ravens: They scared me for a quick second last weekend. At first, they got off to a strong start. The Ravens have still been good offensively, but not as strong as they were last season where they would have their way with teams. However, I think their offense is fine. Their defense almost gave that game in Philly up. But they were able to make a stop when they needed it.
