Cruise Continued: 2020 AFC West Preview

2019 Recap: 2018 was a learning year for them. It was different. The offense was the best in the league. After a heartbreaking loss in the AFC title game, they were on a mission. Mahomes went down with a knee injury unfortunately. He comes back and the Chiefs didn’t miss a beat. The defense also tightened things up which helped significantly. Their season ended the way they envisioned which included holding up the Lombardi trophy. This was their first Super Bowl win in 50 seasons.

Off-Season Moves: Released Dustin Colquitt. Drafted Clyde Edwards-Helaire from LSU. Made Patrick Mahomes the richest athlete ever. Resigned Chris Jones.

2020 Outlook: This division will belong to the Kansas City Chiefs if Mahomes is on the field. I don’t see a team dethroning them anytime soon. A good chunk of the title team will return next year. This offense will once again be amongst the best in the league. The speed they play with is too much for any defense to contain. Speaking of defense, can they pick up where they left off last year? That will determine their outcome once again.

2020 Predictions

1. Chiefs (13-3)

2. Broncos (8-8)

3. Raiders (7-9)

4. Chargers (6-10)
