2019 Recap: Just weeks before the season, Andrew Luck shocked the world and announced his retirement. This came a year after Andrew put together the best season of his career. It was Jacoby Brissett’s for the foreseeable future. He wasn’t bad, but he certainly wasn’t the long-term answer moving forward either. After a while, the Indianapolis Colts struggled in the final month of the season which resulted in them missing the playoffs. Talk about a roller coaster of a year.
Off-Season Moves: Signed Philip Rivers, acquired DeForest Buckner from San Francisco, signed Xavier Rhodes, drafted Michael Pittman & drafted Jacob Eason.
2020 Outlook: I’m high on them. I’m picking the Colts to win the AFC South this year. Philip Rivers is a tremendous upgrade over Brissett which improves them significantly. Drafting Michael Pittman was a great move. They’ve needed another weapon to play alongside T.Y. Hilton. The offensive line is still intact. As a defense, they added a stud in Buckner. He and Darius Leonard should be a fun tandem to watch. The only team the Colts should be scared of in this division is Tennessee.
2020 Predictions
1. Colts (12-4)
2. Titans (9-7)
3. Texans (8-8)
4. Jaguars (3-13)
