2019 Recap: Things appeared to be working in their favor once again. Even without their leader, the New Orleans Saints were still able to win each game that Drew Brees didn’t play. Drew comes back, the Saints didn’t miss a beat. Last season was the year of Michael Thomas. He broke a record that was previously held by Marvin Harrison. Mike caught 149 passes on the season. The Saints won 13 games but were the three seed meaning they had to play the first weekend of the playoffs. They were stunned by the Minnesota Vikings in the Wild Card round.
Off-Season Moves: Resigned Drew Brees, signed Emmanuel Sanders, resigned Andrus Peat, signed Malcolm Jenkins and signed Jameis Winston.
2020 Outlook: Everybody can gift wrap the division to Tampa Bay all they want. I’m not everybody though. The Saints will win the NFC South. I’ve seen everyone that the Buccaneers have added, but I just can’t go against the man who’s pretty much run this division since signing with the Saints in 2006. I really liked the signing of Emmanuel Sanders. He brings veteran experience and he also knows his role within an offense. The defense will be strong once again. Dennis Allen will have his guys ready to play.
2020 Predictions
1. Saints (12-4)
2. Buccaneers (10-6)
3. Falcons (6-10)
4. Panthers (5-11)
