Week Five Power Rankings (NCAA)

1. Clemson Tigers– Their winning streak continues. They dominated Charlotte last weekend. They just keep showing us all why they’re the best team in the nation and are the favorites to win the whole thing again. I don’t think I need to say much more about them.

2. Alabama Crimson Tide– Last week was by far the most locked in I’ve seen Tua Tagovailoa look. He threw for 293 yards passing, five touchdowns and did this all in less than three quarters. He’s completing 81 percent of his passes and has thrown 17 touchdown passes and zero interceptions. I really hope he stays healthy because when he is, he’s so much fun to watch. The Tide are at home today facing Mississippi.

3. Ohio State Buckeyes– I’ve been impressed with them. Their offense is clicking as we expected, and the defense is playing at a high level now. Justin Fields is a player that you create on Madden with the skillset he displays. Tonight, the nation gets to see Justin in primetime when the Buckeyes go to Lincoln to face the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

4. LSU Tigers– Joe Burrow is in my running for the Heisman trophy now. What a season he’s had. This LSU offense is scary with how they move the football down the field. The defense isn’t too shabby either. They have a few challenging games coming up on the slate. Florida, Georgia, Auburn and Alabama all await these Tigers.

5. Oklahoma Sooners– Right now, Jalen Hurts is my frontrunner for the Sooners. Wouldn’t that be special? Three straight seasons, three Heisman winners from the same school? I’m all for it. The bye week is in the books for them and it’s time to continue to get better. They face Texas Tech in Norman this afternoon.
