1. Alabama Crimson Tide– Did we expect anything else? They’ve been here for so many weeks and even if they were to lose a game (which I don’t see happening any time soon, they’d still hold my top spot). That’s all I had to say. I won’t keep you long.
2. Notre Dame Fighting Irish– They continue to impress me and they showed that the great teams can blow you out and dominate and they can win the nailbiters and that’s exactly what they did Their path to a potential playoff spot just continues to look better each and every week. Notre Dame’s trickiest road swing of the season is coming up at the end of the month: a long flight to San Diego to play always dangerous Navy, followed by a short drive up to Chicago to play resurgent Northwestern.
3. Clemson Tigers– They come off their bye week looking to make their run once again at the division title, the ACC Championship and redemption in the playoffs this year. This game may seem easy, but it’s not with a confident North Carolina State Wolf Pack team coming to town. Trap game? Potentially.
4. LSU Tigers– They bounced back in a big way last week over the Georgia Bulldogs and have moved themselves up behind Alabama in the SEC West. What a defensive effort the Tigers showed on Saturday. They locked down those Bulldog receivers, they pressured Fromm throughout the game and made life miserable for their opponent.
5. Ohio State Buckeyes– I’m concerned about them because they don’t play with enough consistency on either side of the football. The offense can’t run the ball as much as they want too and the defense gives up way too many big plays for my liking. This is definitely a trap game for them tonight against Purdue and it’s on the road.
